On 4/25/24 AST responded to a disturbance in Wasilla. Following the investigation Morgan Roberts, age 26 of Wasilla, was arrested and remanded to MSPT for DV-related assault in the fourth degree.

On April 25th, 2024, at approximately 0021 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance off Seldon. Investigation revealed, Kenneth Chapman, age 43 of Wasilla, recklessly caused physical injury to a family member and then damaged property inside the residence. Kenneth was remanded at MSPT, where he was held without bail pending arraignment.

On 4/25/24 at 0339 hrs, AST responded to an address in Wasilla for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed that, Destiny Stark, age 46 of Eureka, had assaulted someone with whom she had a domestic relationship with. She was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where she was held without bail.

On 04/25/24 AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Big Lake for an equipment violation. A records check revealed that the driver, Cody Cassidy, age 29 of Wasilla, had a warrant for his arrest. Cody was arrested without incident and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was held on a $250 bail.

On 04/19/2024 at approximately 08:00 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a missing snowmachiner who had been traveling from Selawik to Buckland. SAR members and an AST aircraft were dispatched. Ultimately the AST aircraft located the snowmachiner and another adult at a cabin. Both were uninjured.

On 4/20/24, at about 1655 hours Alaska State Troopers received a report of a death in Old Harbor. Alaska State Troopers and the VPSO responded. Subsequent investigation revealed 27 year old Katrina Ashouwak of Old Harbor died of apparent natural causes. Katrina's remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The next of kin was notified.

On 04/20/2024 at approximately 21:30 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of two missing persons en route from Ambler to the Selawik Hot Springs. The Northwest Arctic Borough Search and Rescue Team was dispatched from Shugnak on the morning of 4/21/2024. On the same day, AST received a message from the NWAB Coordinator advising that the missing individuals had arrived in Shungnak around 1630 hours.

On 4/25/24 at approximately 0201 hours, The Alaska State Troopers in Delta Junction received a 911 report of an active disturbance near Larry Spangler Road and the Richardson Highway. Further investigation revealed, Benjamin Knix, 32 years of age, of Delta Junction was on court ordered conditions of release not to have contact with the victim in a previous assault charge. Benjamin Knix was arrested and charged with Violating Conditions of Release and Unlawful Contact. Knix was remanded at FCC.

On April 24, 2024, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that a juvenile female had made allegations that 51-year-old Nenana resident Joseph Forness had sexually abused her. The Alaska State Troopers Fairbanks Major Crimes unit assumed case responsibility and began an investigation. Investigators substantiated the statements of the juvenile and arrested Forness without incident, and remanded him to Fairbanks Correctional Center on charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Second Degree.
